Just Because We Are Small
Even though South Otselic is a tiny town we have some pretty good technology available to us. Currently there are two options for high speed internet, cable and DSL. I was instrumental in bringing DSL to this town or we would have been dialing up until a few years ago. Now we also have Time Warner Cable and I have no complaints about either DSL or cable internet service. We switched to Time Warner cable from DSL when it became available, only because it was faster and we wanted to ditch the huge satellite dish for TV and combine the services. The latest addition to our household was a new wireless router enabling the elimination of CAT5e cables.
The satellite dish was cheaper for TV but you had to clean the snow off the dish which was a real pain and when it became very windy, the picture would come and go, especially on digital channels, when it’s all or nothing.
